Premiere updates:

The third season was released on Netflix on October 26th. It was created by Adi Shankar and produced by Frederator Studios in association with Netflix. This season follows Trevor Belmont, who has taken up his father’s legacy to destroy the Lords of Shadow once and for all.

Storyline:

This first episode starts much like last year’s where Dracula’s castle gets invaded but it doesn’t take long before things start going downhill very quickly when they meet Death himself or rather his son that looks just like him named Shaftel (played brilliantly by Ben Diskin). He offers them a deal, Dracula’s head in exchange for the curse that birthed him.

The other episodes follow the same pattern of Dracula’s castle being invaded by a character and Belmont coming to slay them but it doesn’t take long before they realize that there is an ulterior motive as well. The curse for Shaftel was what birthed Death himself, the Duke’s obsession with his daughter Elizabeth ends up sealing her in stone so we hope she can break free from those shackles (or is that just me?) Alucard points out early on that Trevor might not be able to kill all five Lords without dying and possibly destroying humanity in the process because he lacks a soul – this plays into one episode where Trevor tries not killing someone to avoid risk which leads to unforeseen consequences. This season also features some of the best animations for Castlevania we’ve seen in a long time.

I know I said that this season is my favorite, but I can’t wait to see what’s next! We’ll be waiting patiently by our televisions until October 26th when Season Four premieres on Netflix. If you haven’t seen this show yet and love some good ole fashioned gothic horror TV series – then get ready because it returns with all-new episodes at midnight EST (11 pm PST).

This season is the best that we’ve seen in a long time. The animation was spectacular, and it wasn’t just for show either – this series has had some deep points to consider about humanity as well as what makes one human. I can honestly say without spoiling anything that Castlevania Season three will be my favorite of them all, but don’t worry because new episodes are coming soon! Be sure to tune into Netflix on Saturday, October 26th at 11 pm EST (midnight PST) when Season Four premieres with all-new episodes!
