Game of Thrones is one of the most famous shows in the world. It is an American fantasy drama television series, Which is created by David Benioff. D. B. Weiss originally writes games of Thornes. It is inspired by the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R. R. Martin, which serves as the prequel to the later series, “A Game of Thrones“.

The first season aired on HBO in the spring of 2011 with a second season slated for the summer of 2012, followed by a third in the autumn of 2013 and a fourth in the spring of 2014.

The series is set in the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos and chronicles the power struggles among noble families as they fight for control of the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms.

Several main characters are members of a small ensemble cast, which portrays different points of view and conflicting interests among major characters.

The Story of the Series

The story begins with three principal characters, Eddard “Ned” Stark (Sean Bean), his wife Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), and their eldest son Robb Stark (Richard Madden) as the King’s Hand. Ned takes his place as Hand of the King after his predecessor, Jon Arryn, dies under mysterious circumstances. Ned discovers that Jon’s son Robin Arryn, the Lord of the Vale, is being raised by Lysa Arryn (Kate Dickie). In King’s Landing, the capital city, King Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy) is plagued by a Lannister ambassador who believes that the king has grown too old to take control of the kingdom.

Across the sea lies the Dothraki people, a nomadic horse-mounted tribe from Essos, whose leader Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) and his pregnant wife, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), are under the protection of the powerful House Targaryen. His khalasar, or horde, is captained by the fearsome warlord Khal Jhaqo (Torje Isungset). The Dothraki force is strong enough to conquer the Seven Kingdoms, which has repulsed previous invasions. As rivalries between their mighty clans mount, they are poised to invade Westeros.

Is Game of Thrones inspired by a true event?
