So you’re wondering if Umbrella Academy Season 2 is worth your time? The short answer is no. The long answer, however, requires a little more detail. Umbrella Academy Season 2 follows the adventures of the Hargreeves siblings and their friends as they try to stop an apocalypse. It has all of the same problems that plagued season 1: not enough character development; unclear villains; poor pacing; nonsensical plotlines. There are also some new problems introduced in this season: lack of suspense or tension; confusing flashbacks that add nothing to the story and only serve to frustrate viewers who are trying to understand what’s going on. Overall, it’s a disappointing sequel with few redeeming qualities.”

Reviews:

The Umbrella Academy Season Two reviews are mixed. Some people love it, but many others hate it and argue that the show should not be renewed for a third season due to its numerous flaws. Have you seen The Umbrella Academy? What did you think of this second season? Sound off in the comments below!

What do I need to know before watching The Umbrella Academy: Reviews and Ratings?

Many fans don’t recommend catching up on past seasons if you’re going into Season Two fresh because there will be spoilers from previous episodes.

Be prepared for confusing flashbacks that add nothing to the story and only serve to frustrate viewers who are trying to understand what’s going on like me (see quote).

This season is darker than the first but might not go as deep into some of the more serious topics that were touched on in Season One.

The Umbrella Academy has a lot to offer in terms of easter eggs for comic book readers who know how to look and are willing to do their research.

Quote:

“The Umbrella Academy was one of my favourite TV shows when it first came out last year, so I couldn’t wait for this second instalment. But then they spoil what happened at the end of Season One by showing clips from previous episodes over and over again before launching into Episode Two? What’s up with that?” – Greg Dyson”
