Vikings: Valhall

You thought that was the end of our beloved Vikings? Well, not so fast! The second season is coming to Netflix in January 2023. It’s been a long wait, I know. But this upcoming season of Vikings promises you huge battles, epic swords and shields clashing, and even more intrigues. Don’t worry if you couldn’t watch the first season either because it’s already on Netflix.

In season 2, the story of the Vikings will move further south and south. The ship will sail along the coast of France, and they will reach England. We don’t know too much about it yet, but we do know that we are going to see how Leif Erikson,  one of the greatest Viking heroes in history, will be treated by his enemies.

Excepted Plot of the Series

In this upcoming second season of Vikings, we’re going to see how the Vikings are treated by their enemies. This is because Leif Erikson is going to leave on an important journey. It seems like he wants to die in a foreign land and become a martyr for his fellow Vikings.

The most interesting thing about this new plotline is that the enemies aren’t just going to be people, but also animals. In the trailer we see Leif Erikson fighting a polar bear. This is going to be intense!

The plot of Vikings’ second season is going to be written by Michael Hirst, who already worked on the first season. He was also responsible for writing some other very well-known television series and films. Among the most famous are The Tudors, Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

Vikings: Valhalla Season 2 is going to be released in 2023. This will be a very important second season, because it’s probably going to be the last one. So this means that we are going to be saying goodbye to the Vikings soon, for good.

Cast and Crew of the Series

  • Sam Corlett as Leif Erikson
  • Frida Gustavsson as Freydís Eiríksdóttir
  • Leo Suter as Harald Sigurdsson
  • Bradley Freegard as King Cnut

Is Vikings: Valhalla historical fact?

Vikings: Valhalla is not a true historical fact. However, Vikings were an actual people and they lived in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland. Those who lived in Britain and France are known as Norsemen in English. These Vikings raided a lot of places, but it’s because those areas belonged to other people at that time like England or France. The main reason for the raids was to capture slaves and treasure from their territories. The Vikings also went around trading with the people they raided. They were not just war men. Vikings: Valhalla is a work of fiction and is not based on any true historical facts.  The only thing that existed about Vikings was stuff that was made into a story for television shows and movies.

In The Conclusion

If you like Vikings for their ruthless and fight style then Vikings: Valhalla season 2 is for you. There will be a total of 3 seasons , the 1st season is already out , 2nd season will be out in January 2022 and the last one is bill next year.
