The characters Grishadow and Bone Season 1 combined the first book in Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse fantasy trilogy, Shadow and Bone, with characters from the Six of Crows duology. While the first season was primarily about Alina (Jessie Mei Li) discovering her light powers and confronting The Darkling (Ben Barnes), it also provided backstory about the Six of Crows gang, including Kaz Brekker, Jesper Fahey and Inej Ghafa, and embedded them in Alina’s journey (in the book earth, the Six of Crows textbooks take place after the circumstances of the Shadow and Bone trilogy).
