Key & Peele is an American sketch comedy television series created by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele for Comedy Central. Both Key and Peele previously worked on Mad TV. The show stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as fictionalized versions of their former self, the bumbling Jerry Lewis and his foil, the rambunctious Richard Nixon respectively.
What makes this show interesting?
This show is about two different people that never said anything negative to each other. The show is not about the two wayward characters, it is about them having fun with each other. They always make fun of themselves and put on a big act for their counterparts. It is an un-comedy show about two very different people. When one does something, the counterpart does the exact opposite by copying what the other person did. It is extremely entertaining because it shows how two different people can still make each other laugh in general. There are so many moments that you will laugh out loud in this show,
Why it is the most-watched sketch?
The way Key and Peele play off each other in this show is so amazing. If there was no laughter, then the show would not be entertaining. Every time I watch it and laugh out loud, it makes me want to watch more. The characters that they play are just so weird and funny, especially when they pair them up and make them do the opposite of each other’s actions. There is so much to look forward to when you watch this show.
What makes it best sketch shows?
This show is not that childlike. Most sketch shows are very childish. Most characters get too wild for their own good and go way too far with what they do. Key and Peele show you that they are very insightful characters. They play off each other so well and have fun with it, it is just fun to watch them.K&P is an extremely underrated show because most people do not look into this show. This show shows you how two different people can still make each other laugh just by laughing at the person’s joke or acting a fool or doing something that makes their counterpart act a fool
What makes this show different from other shows?
This show is not all about just laughs. There are a lot of deep moments in this show where different characters play on their own. They make fun of themselves or make fun of each other. The person acts on their own because there is nothing to base it on. The jokes in this show come from the interaction between the two characters.
The setup of the show and script?
The first season is more of the basics. The second season adds more depth to the characters. Since there are no scripts, everything that comes out of their mouth needs to be very creative because there is no script telling them what to say. It is amazing to see the number of different things that come out of these characters’ mouths. The show is not about the script, it is about the flow between the two main characters. The show does not have any drama, so why would they need a script
