Hey Society fans! This is a blog post about The Society Season 2. We will be discussing the cancellation of the show, release date updates, cast, and plot details.

We are sorry to announce that The Society Season two has been cancelled. This is because the show was not getting enough viewers during its first season, and it didn’t make sense for Netflix to move forward with a second one. However, there might be hope as some producers of the show want to shop this series around elsewhere so we will update you when more information becomes available!

The release date falls on January 30th, 2019 but even without knowing an exact number of episodes yet, based on what happened last year with 13 Reasons Why Season Two (which had 20 episodes) or Stranger Things: Part II which only released nine new episodes in 2017; I would estimate somewhere between nine-to-ten seasons if they keep up with how many episodes their predecessors had.

Therefore, we are not going to receive the entire season two in a three-week span which I am perfectly fine with since it means that our obsession is prolonged for an extended amount of time.

Most importantly, there have been talks about whether or not they will be releasing episodes weekly like Netflix did last year (which would mean no more waiting all at once) but because this has yet to be confirmed, we can only guess until they reveal their plans before Season Two premieres next Thursday morning.

The Society Season One’s plot synopsis reads: “Welcome to The One Place Where Your Worst Nightmares Come True.

The Society is a live-action, dark comedy about the dangers of society’s obsession with social media and technology.”

This is a question “The Society” creator, Matt Duffer has answered:

“I think the most interesting thing about it to me,” he said of our technological future, “is how much we’re really not thinking things through. The idea that you have politicians who are making decisions for us without having any sort of understanding of technology and what this all means.”

The Society Season 2: Cancellation Updates

It was announced on September 18th that Netflix had cancelled The Society after one season. This came as a huge shock to me because I loved this show for what it managed to do with its intelligent script, suspenseful action scenes, and intriguing plotlines… In addition to his work on Stranger Things, director Shawn Levy will be executive-producing Season Two with 21 Laps’ Dan Cohen. This should make up some slack in terms of quality control if nothing else. And because they’ve had so many obstacles thrown at them these past few months, I’m crossing my fingers that their second season will turn out better than the first.

This is a long-form piece of content that provides information on the recent cancellation and release date for The Society Season Two, as well as what to expect from the show’s second season.

Readers are introduced to Shawn Levy who will be executive producing with Dan Cohen to maintain quality control after many obstacles thrown at them this past few months. It also provides readers with information on their first season and where they can watch it online if interested. Overall, this blog post has been mainly informative but does not provide much detail about what viewers should expect from Season Two or any other spoilers so I would recommend reading before watching if possible!

The Society was cancelled by Netflix shortly following its initial debut; however, due to the massive outcry from the show’s viewers, Netflix is considering picking it back up.

This has been a popular topic on social media lately with people expressing their disappointment in finding out that this season would not be available for viewing as of yet. Luckily, The Society Season One can still be viewed online at any time and Dan Cohen does his best to keep all audiences informed about updates and potential release dates through social media posts like these:

Reasons discussed for why the show was cancelled include its budget constraints driving down viewership numbers which led to less advertising revenue; although many speculate there might have also been other factors such as censorship issues or negative reviews by spectators. Regardless of what may have contributed to its cancellation, fans are anticipating an announcement soon regarding The Society Season 3.
