The Boys" Season 2

The Boys Season 2 is finally coming to an end and it’s time to get answers! In this blog post, we will answer all your questions about the season finale. What happened to Hughie? Who killed Karen? And what did Wee Hughie find out about his father that was so important? Read on for all of these questions answered and more!

Most Asked Questions about “The Boys”:

What happened to Hughie?

In the last episode of The Boys Season Two, Karen and Hughie were going to meet at an empty lot. They both got shot by a sniper before they could even get there. We find out that Cooper was behind this because he wanted revenge on these two somehow for something in their past. We don’t know what that is, but it will be explained in season three.

Who killed Karen?

This one’s a little more complicated because we do not see the person pull the trigger on her. We just hear gunshots and so far there have been no suspects named or caught for this crime either. There are two theories about who did kill Karen though: The first being Hughie himself when he was hallucinating from his injury while waiting at their meeting place for her to show up; and second is someone else involved with Cooper’s group of men as they also want revenge on these people somehow from their pasts.

What is the meaning of The Boys?

The Boys are a group of CIA operatives who were fed up with the corruption and immorality in their agency, so they started this vigilante team to take down The Seven. They don’t kill people as much as capturing them for interrogation about what happened between them and these officers during their time together at the military base where all that chaos was happening. It’s not really clear why or how Cooper is involved with these men but we will find out eventually in season three!

The cast of The Boys Season 2:

And speaking of the cast, they are pretty awesome on-screen individually but even better together! It’s a really good thing to see them interact with each other because you can tell how much love they have for one another in real life.

The Boys

Billy Quizboy (Dominic Fumusa)

Mags Dawson (Tracy Ifeachor)

Echo DeMarcos (Alex Maqueen Johnson)

Samuel Smith/Capricornus(Seth Elwes)

Hajime Otomo/Minotaur (Toby Nichols) Karen Page’s Father and Mother – Carl Neeson, Jane Findlay.

Karen Page as Annie January. She has a connection to these boys from her past but we’re not sure what that means yet on the show! And it looks like she might be working for them in some way? We don’t really know anything about her character just yet so.

Samuel Smith/Capricornus (Seth Elwes)

Twists and Turns:

It seems that there’s more to this show than we originally thought. The ending was kind of open-ended so it looks like season three will come out soon and answer all our questions!

Hajime Otomo/Minotaur (Toby Nichols)

He’s a friend of the Boys who are heavily involved in this “Supernatural Boy” business. He knows more than he lets on about what’s going to happen and it seems like he might be working for someone else too? It was hinted that his boss might be able to help him get off the drug, but we’re not sure!

It looks like there might have been some kind of connection between him and Karen Page from their past which means she could also know more information about these  boys or where they came from – maybe even why they were created. There are so many loose ends still left with these characters at season two as well.

Review of The Boys:

Season two ended with a lot of unanswered questions and without any more seasons coming, it’s unlikely that we’ll ever know. It was great to see these characters again as they are all so well done and created in such an interesting way – but I still don’t feel like the story is finished here!

The ending seems open-ended for whatever reason; could this be because there were originally supposed to be three or four more seasons? Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But what I do know is that some people will love The Boys Season Two while others might find it too complicated or not enough resolution – your opinion may depend on how invested you got into these characters after season one.
