At the start of this episode, Cathy and her team are in a location that is under heavy fire. Ryan tells them to stay put while he goes for help but they end up being captured by their enemies who want information about Jack’s whereabouts. After his family had been killed, Jack reclaims himself as an agent when he finally finds out where they’re hidden and then saves them from certain death (he even gets shot in the process!). Great moment!

“Pilot” – Season Two Episode One

This season premiere takes place after three months have passed since we last saw our heroes Jack Ryan Jr., Cathy Mueller, James Greer, Admiral Tom Strand… It starts with a flashback of Ryan Jr. telling his dad that he wants to be a Marine like him and Jack Sr. replies “I think you’re too smart for the Marines.”

“The Hunt” – Season Three Episode One

This episode starts off with a meeting between Tom Strand, Cathy Mueller, James Greer, Jack Ryan Jr., Aidan Pierce at an undisclosed location where they talk about what has happened since the last time we saw them all together (the events from season two). They are joined by four other members of their team: Alison Shaw-Ryan’s daughter; Fayez Barakat-a former Syrian intelligence officer who is now in exile on Cyprus; Jayne Mansfield-a British MI-Threat Analyst; and Dr. Yogendra Kumar-a prominent Indian neurologist who is also a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The episode begins with Ryan Jr., Tom, and Cathy being informed that there has been an explosion at the British embassy in Tehran. They are told to head to Cyprus as they have found out what their mission will be: rescuing James Greer’s daughter Alison Shaw from Sadiq Zadran, one of Russia’s most wanted terrorists. As soon as they arrive in Cyprus, Jayne Mansfield informs them that she can no longer work on this mission because her cover was blown during a surveillance operation earlier that day; but before she leaves she gives them all her contact information because “we’re not going to be able to see each other again”. Ryan Jr., Tom and Cathy head to the safe house that Mansfield had been watching from, where they find a laptop with pictures of Alison.

The episode then cuts back in time four days earlier when Greer’s daughter was kidnapped while she was on Spring break vacationing in Cyprus with her friends. They are drinking at night outside their hotel room when two men approach them and say “we’re here for you”, then pull out guns and force their way into the building. One of Alison’s friends takes this as an opportunity to escape unnoticed but is caught by one of the kidnappers; he shoots her point blank in front of everyone else before running off with his partner towards another exit door.

We can’t wait to see what new adventures Jack and his family will go on this time.
