The passage of time in the show has led the group to the MCU chronology and this narrative decision has allowed many of the show’s past characters to return in one form or another.
The first episodes of season 7 were translated as the grandfather of the Patton Oswalt Koenig brothers. The Malik family gave him prominence, even though Gideon Malik was on the sidelines. Recently Johnson also brought Dicheen Lachmann as Daisy Johnson’s mother.
Last season’s role was played by Bill Paxton, who gave John Garrett the season of the show. There is still a way to honour his contribution at the beginning of the show. The next episode of the series has confirmed that his real-life son is James Paxton, who was caught by fans for the first time in the promotion of the episode. James has taken to Twitter to confirm the exciting news and tidy up the “familiar faces”.

It’s good casting for Bill Paxton’s son, but it’s likely to make for more of a random character. The promo works with James ’character Nathanial Malik, so this connection will help him understand his shared relationship with Hydra. S.H.I.E.L.D agents. There’s nothing profound about Garrett’s past, so the series could allow a character to emerge a few years ago when Grant Ward S.H.I.E.L.D. A sleeper who hires Hydra as an agent.
The exact role that a young Garrett would play is unclear, but it is likely that this appearance will appear again and again in subsequent episodes, especially since this promotion would pick up Gordon’s teleportation abilities to James.
