In a latest report, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that writer/director James Wan’s ‘Aquaman 2’ will be the final movie to star Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The announcement comes after actor and director Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) was confirmed as the new director for the upcoming Batman film. Unsurprisingly, fan reactions to this announcement have been mixed. While some fans are happy to see the removal of Affleck as Batman, others have expressed their displeasure at the news.

Some people are not happy that Heard has spent so much time on the screen. They would like to see more of Mera. Other fans think that Heard is too young to play Mera and that she doesn’t look good in the Aquaman suit . Aquaman 2 – The Lost Kingdom
‘Aquaman 2’ is still not a success, but the movie is doing better than most of Warner Bros.’ DC Comics movies. The studio has already set up a sequel, which will introduce Mera’s sister Orm/Ocean Master and will continue to focus on Arthur Curry/Aquaman. It’s not likely that the movie will move away from Arthur’s story and he will be centre stage for the story. James Wan has signed on to direct the sequel, which is slated to hit theatres in early 2023.

Who will be the villain in ‘Aquaman 2’ ?
The villain in the next ‘Aquaman 2’ movie will be Mera’s sister, Orm. She is an Ocean Master and a member of the alien race called the Trench Queen. He will be one of the main villains in this movie. In the first movie, Orm is played by Patrick Wilson. But in the script, it only wrote “Ocean Master” but that’s changed now. The name was changed when actor Willem Dafoe was cast as a villain named Nuidius Vulko .Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also returning as Aquaman’s human nemesis Black Manta
Aquaman 2 Announcement
‘Aquaman 2’ was officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con on July 22, 2018. Jason Momoa was first announced to be returning in the sequel. Amber Heard then confirmed her return as Mera. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was also cast to reprise his role as Black Manta. Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren were soon confirmed to be returning as Orm and King Nereus respectively in the film.
The story of ‘Aquaman 2’ will be an entirely original story and will not have any direct ties to the events of “Justice League“. The Flashpoint film was scrapped. In October 2018, it was reported that writers Will Beall and Kurt Johnstad were no longer attached to the project.
