Mamma Mia 3 May Go Again for a Third Time

Mamma Mia 3

The latest instalment in the comedy-musical franchise will reportedly go into production at the start of 2019, originally scheduled to premiere on July 13, 2019.”

Mamma Mia 3 may go ahead and star Christine Baranski. This comes after her co-star Cheryl announced that she’s done with her role. Though I’m not too sure how this is going to work considering the characters are already dead.  There is also a possibility that Meryl Streep will play Donna in Mamma Mia 3 because they were close in real life (and they’re friends) but there is no confirmation on whether she will take up this role or not yet. The franchise is set to produce three more films in total, with Mamma Mia 4 being the last film.

The ‘Mamma Mia!’ franchise has grossed over $853M domestically and $1.5B worldwide.

.”Mamma Mia 3″ release date

It’s possible that the release date will be moved to 2019 because Shaun of the Dead is released in the same year. The picture will see the back of the “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” star.

It only takes around a year between the shoot starting and the film being released on the first two outings in the series. So if production does get set up in 2023 on the third movie, we could see it in July 2024.

“Mamma Mia 3” cast

Mostly, fans can expect the old role to make an appearance. We don’t imagine creators will struggle to get the cast back together, so expect to see all your choices again. We can expect to see:

  • Amanda Seyfried as Sophie Sheridan
  • Dominic Cooper as Sophie’s husband Sky
  • Christine Baranski as Tanya
  • Julie Walters as Rosie.
  • Josh Dylan as Young Bill.

Andrés Arturo García Menéndez (born April 12, 1956), as Senior Fernando Cienfuegos, (the Mexican manager of the Hotel Bella Donna, who had a relationship with Ruby in 1959).

  • Panos Mouzourakis as Lazaros (Sofia’s son)
  • Omid Djalili is a Greek customs officer.
  • Gerard Monaco as Alexio
  • Togo Igawa as Mr. Tatyama
  • Naoko Mori as Yumiko
  • Anna Chancellor as Rosie’s mother

“Mamma Mia 3” plot?

‘Mamma Mia 2’ did end with some unresolved questions, including:

1 What happened during Sam and Donna’s married years?

2 Why did young Prince Harry disappear after missing one ferry to Kalokairi?

Whether Mamma Mia’  3 grants answers to these questions and impacts any of these points or opts for something different.

The third instalment in the franchise would come after Sophie (Amanda Michelle Seyfried is an American actress) grapples with the death of Donna (Meryl Streep), the hotel’s future, and her own growing family in Mamma Mia 3 “Here We Go Again”.

The 2nd movie alternates between the present day and Donna’s past, where she meets Young Bill, Young Sam, and Young Harry, with several scenes mirroring each other. By the finish of the picture, Sophie feels at peace when she becomes expectant and can relate to Donna’s  (an American rock band formed in Palo Alto), motherhood journey.

Is there a Mamma Mia 3 trailer?

There is no official trailer for Mamma Mia 3 yet, but this movie is definitely in the works. Fans will have to wait for an official trailer of the new movie to come out.

Mamma Mia 3 box office?

The franchise is one of the highest-grossing musical films of all time, with Mamma Mia 2 bringing in a total of $609 million at the worldwide box office. The previous two movies also earned $674 and $623 million respectively at the box office. So there’s a chance this film will join their list as well and earn millions too.

“Mamma Mia 3” Songs

Like the original, the second move is also set to some of ABBA‘s hit pop songs. Judith Sarah Jarman Craymer CBE (born 26 October 1957) is an English creator, who hinted at the possibility of new ABBA songs for Mamma Mia! 3‘s soundtrack.

There are also some songs that are solid-gold ABBA classics that have looked as touchstones in both movies so far and could reappear:

  • Dancing Queen…
  • I Have a Dream
  • The Name of the Game.
  • Super Trouper.
  • Waterloo

“The original Mamma Mia” 3 also contained the following ABBA songs:

  •  Chiquita.
  • Does Your Mother Know?
  •  Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight).
  • Honey, Honey; ‘I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do.
  • Lay All Your Love on Me.
  • Money, Money, Money.
  • Our Last Summer.
  • Slipping Through My Fingers.
  • Take a Chance on Me.
