The second season of the American television series Loki is based on the Marvel digital & print comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the warrant. The season is produced by Marvel Studios, with Eric Lee Martin an American rock singer and musician serving as head writer, and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead leading the directing team.

Thomas William Hiddleston (born 9 February 1981) is an English actor who reprises his role as Loki from the film series, with Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Eugene Cordero, Tara Lyn Strong (née Charendoff; born February 12, 1973) is a Canadian-American actress, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino also starring, reprising their roles from the 1st season. Development on a second season had begun by November 2020 and was confirmed in July 2021, with Martin, Benson, and Moorhead all hired by late February 2022. Filming began in June 2022 at Pinewood academic and concluded in October.

All 10 episodes of the season were released simultaneously on Disney Plus, Netflix, and Hulu on November 2022. Critical response to the season was mostly positive, with critics praising the new storylines and characters. The second season is scheduled to be released as a run of 12 episodes in 2021.

Loki Season 2 Trailer 

Marvel Studios’ D23 footage confirmed 8 The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an American media (MCU) character returning for Loki season 2. When the assembly last left Loki, Sylvie had just killed He Who Remains, freeing the sacred timeline and paving the way for Kang the Conquerer.

Despite being in the midst of filming, Marvel Cinematic Universe Studios released an actual trailer for Season 2 entirely for D23 Expo attendees, confirming just who will be joining Loki for his second drive-time tale. 

Other Familiar Faces to Join Loki Season 2? 

Based on a leaked image screen captured from Disney Plus’ “Loki” season 2 trailer (see above), it appears that Thor, Loki’s adoptive brother, and one-time enemy, will be tagged along with the trickster for season 2. A closer look reveals the latter’s lightning hand symbol in the background of a shot that features an aerial view of Malibu, California. This means that Thor might be coming back to Earth after fighting in space in Avengers: Endgame, and possibly staying at his older brother’s new home.

Thor can be seen standing next to one of Stark Tower’s decommissioned gantries.

Loki season 2 has a premiere date?

Disney to debut the Loki series this fall on Disney Plus. The streaming service announced during its October 6, 2017 presentation that it would be launching the first Marvel series on the platform by the end of 2018 or in early 2019. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will be showing its first live-action series with the second season of Loki which is expected to release sometime in October 2021.

Is Loki season 2 confirmed?

The second season is officially confirmed by Disney CEO Bob Iger after being announced at the bi-annual D23 Expo. The creators and stars of the series will be in attendance. Loki premiered on November 18, 2021, as a part of the Marvel Rising franchise and its launch on Disney Plus.

Loki season 2 didn’t have a confirmed release date. However, Marvel confirmed it’ll arrive in mid-2023 (aperture), which we’d previously speculated on. Based on a report from KFTV (opens in new tab), moving wrapped in mid-October, so the series is well on track to make its Q2 2023 release.
