letterkenny season 9

Letterkenny is back! Season 9 of the wildly popular show Letterkenny has just wrapped up and it was a hilarious season. The cast, crew, and writers all did an amazing job this year and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next season.

Letterkenny Season 9 Review aired on Crave TV and I have some thoughts about the show!
“Letterkenny” is a Canadian sitcom that airs on CTV, starring Jared Keeso as Wayne, Nathan Dales as Daryl (and his alter egos), Tyler Johnston as Dan. Considered by many to be Canada’s most successful homegrown comedy series since Trailer Park Boys, the show was created by Keeso and Jacob Tierney.
Season nine premiered on September 12th with a two-hour long episode which introduced us to new cast members Polly Shannon as Fiona O’Shea and Dylan Playfair as Kyle Simmons. I have been waiting for these characters to be introduced because they were in Wayne’s past before we met him!

The season started strong when Daryl goes into his school with no pants on…to try out for the cheerleading team but it turns he has some other surprises up his sleeve too!
There is also an introduction of Wayne’s cousin who got married this year to another guy so that provides some comedic moments throughout the season between them all – but the season is good at balancing comedy and drama.
It’s really interesting to see how Wayne’s relationship with Katy has evolved – I am very much looking forward to next season!

Keeso said for those who are wondering if Letterkenny will be coming back, he mentioned that they’re currently in a “wait and see” but it sounds like there might be more seasons of Letterkenny on Netflix which would be fantastic!
Season nine ends on what can only be described as an emotional cliffhanger because we find out about something bad happening involving Wayne that causes him to go into hiding…but then again this is Letterkenny so things never play out exactly how people expect them to šŸ˜‰

As Keeso said when asked if there would be more seasons he mentioned “wait and see” but hopefully there are many more years available for us to enjoy because it sounds like they’re currently exploring their options with streaming services which are fantastic news. There was one emotional moment where Wayne, the main protagonist, came home to find his mother had passed away from cancer. He did not know about her condition in time and it was a very close call but she died peacefully. This show is both funny and emotional at times which makes for an excellent viewing experience!
