The stars have aligned to bring us one of the most popular horror franchises in contemporary cinematic history. There’s been a lot of buzz about the opening scene of Scream (2022) in which it seems that Sidney Prescott is the only survivor and that there may have been more murders in Edina, Minnesota. The film is set in the same universe as Scream 4 and 5 with the original four lead characters returning.

What was the plot of the movie?
A decade after the horrendous incident at Woodsboro, Sidney is living a peaceful life in New York City. She’s engaged to her boyfriend, medical student Michael, and they are set to marry in a few months. All of this changes when someone begins stalking her again. The killer dons the iconic Ghostface mask and begins sending Sidney messages which leads her to reveal that she was adopted.

The movie was a little bit cheesy. The killer wasn’t taking their time to kill off their victims. They were just shooting them and then killing them with a knife, which shows that they aren’t actually thinking about getting away with the crime. Also, the movie had a lot of clichés like revenge and love triangles.
