Dazed and Confused is a 1993 American coming-of-age comedy film written and directed by Richard Linklater. In this film, the status of a young group of friends in 1970s.The film follows a group of teenagers who spend their last day of summer vacation together before they go off to college. It is a mixture of comedy, drama and thriller.Texas is uncertain as they are in between generations and have not figured out who they are yet. The scenario begain
Graduating seniors are anxiously waiting for their last day of school to end. They waste their time by drinking, getting high, and goofing off. While they are probably not the smartest kids in school, they are well-liked popular teens who enjoy partying and hanging out with one another. Their only concern is that they have to go home when the day ends and do things like homework, study for exams, or even work a part-time job before going back to school the next year.
The main characters
One of the main characters, Mitch Kramer , is a talented musician who is hoping to be able to go to college in Austin, Texas. He has already been accepted, but his parents will not pay for it because they want him to go somewhere closer that has a stronger music program. This is a big issue for Mitch because he wants nothing more than to be able to continue playing music.Mitch meets a girl, Stacy Davis, at a party. The two bond right away but Mitch’s friend is not interested in Stacy and attempts to break them up. He is not able to do so and tries an even more devious plan…
STORYLINE
“Pink” Floyd, , is an all-around athlete who has trouble being at the top of his class. . One night, he tries to smoke marijuana with some friends but is caught by the school’s drug counselor.He and his best friend Trevor are called to the counselor’s office, who tells them that he has seen them many times smoking and also drinking. He warns them that if they continue it, they will be expelled. The two do not want to attend college, so they are more than willing to behave themselves for a year before returning.
The plot starts
The plot starts in the middle of some interesting scenes and events that all start with the word “Dazed” or “Confused”. The characters are all trying to have fun… The end of summer’s coming and their parents are going to call them home soon. The gang decides to have a party before they leave. In the beginning of the movie, they all try to go over to Pink Floyd’s house and see if he wants to come out with them. His mother tells them that he isn’t feeling well, so they assume he is hung over after partying hard last night.
