The story begins with America Chavez, who’s in the middle of a fight with an alternate version of herself who has come to the past. Doctor Strange unwittingly casts a forbidden spell that accidentally opens up the multiverse. With help from Wong and Scarlet Witch, Strange confronts various versions of himself as well as teaming up with the young America Chavez while traveling through various realities and working to restore reality as he knows it. Doctor Strange teams up with a teenage girl who can travel across multiverses, to battle multiple threats, including other-universe versions of himself.

Storyline
America Chavez, who’s in the middle of a fight with an alternate version. She confirms that the Strange from the dream was ‘Defender Strange’, whose body travelled to their Earth (Earth-616) with America and that dreams themselves are the multiverse. America, who reveals she can travel the multiverse. The poweful Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch is on the edge of no return with her powers out of control.
Wanda and Strange realize that something is wrong with her as her powers are uncontrollable. Strange realizes that his time in the Dark Dimension has caused them to be unable to manifest their powers. They travel to another dimension, However, she still manages to wreak havoc on the city.Wanda is able to handle the power that she’s drained from herself and Strange realizes that her powers aren’t out of control.
Doctor Strange & Mutants
Mutants are being psychically attacked. Strange realizes that there is a spell that can defeat it, but it requires the soul of a mutant. He decides that Wanda will make the sacrifice to save them and he brings her to the Dark Dimension. As she’s pulled in, she asks Strange why he’s doing this. He replies saying he’d have to have a heart to understand.
The Multiverse
He realizes that Mordo only wanted to test the fact he could survive in the dark dimension. Not long after, he and Wanda realize that this dimension has opened up a link to other dimensions. Strange gets a call from America Chavez, who asks what’s going on due to multiple versions of themselves appearing all around them. Strange and Wanda find America Chavez and go to multiverse. Along their way, they are attacked by versions of themselves who are protecting the multiverse. The group arrives at the final universe where they find a version of a younger version of Stephen Strange, who is “Defender” Strange.
Face the Illuminati
Doctor Strange comes to face the Illuminati. He comes to ask them for help in the midst of strange occurrences. After arriving in the other reality, Strange realizes that this is another dimension and not just one more reality. There are multiple universes beyond their own.
