“House of the dragon season 2” plot:

Although the story of the television show is based on the novel, “Mortals,” by award-winning author Christopher Rush, it was only an idea that he had. But after he saw HBO’s other fantasy series, “True Blood,” he knew that this would be the perfect project for a writer to step in and learn more about how to create tv series.

The novel was also the perfect way to explain why Simon was raised in an orphanage instead of his parents or a family member because it got so many details right, said Rush in an interview. He added that he usually goes through six to eight drafts before he is ready to put his work out there and then goes back through it again and again before it can be published.
