The Santa Clauses Season 2

It’s always a good day when we get confirmation from Disney, but this one has us singing to the top of our voices! Alongside announcing several other exciting new announcements for their ongoing content, Disney+ has announced the two-season renewal of their hit TV series The Santa Clauses. The show, starring Alan Thicke, Robin Williams, Mark McGrath, and many more have been such a success for the new streaming service from Disney+ that it was renewed for two seasons before season 1 had even aired. The features of the show which have been in praise include both its comedic and music aspects, as well as guest stars such as Alan Thicke and Robin Williams, as well as many more big names.

“The Santa Clauses” as a Successful Legacy Series on Disney+

The show has been described as a rocky friendship between two best friends, whose ‘divorce’ causes issues to rise within their extended families. The series is written and produced by the very talented Alan Thicke, son of Alan Thicke, earlier in his life. The show has been praised for its funny romantic comedy humor, as well as its refreshingly humorous and original storylines. The show even has a nice soundtrack that goes along with it, filled with Christmas songs that give off a positive feel. For all of these reasons above, there is already talk of Disney+ continuing the show to three or four seasons total. The series has been a huge hit within the streaming industry and has brought in over 4 million views in its first few days. The first season is available now on Disney+, and the second season will begin production early in 2019.

The plot of “The Santa Clauses” show:

“The Santa Clauses” show has been described as a rocky friendship between two best friends, whose ‘divorce’ causes issues to rise within their extended families. It is a traditional Christmas story, with the most important aspect being the relationship between Todd Calvin and his wife Carol Newman-Calvin, who comes from very wealthy families. At first, they seem to get along fine with their respective lives as well as their families.

However, when her brother Jamie, (a cousin of Todd on his mother’s side) divorces his wife using the Blaine Dietrich Clause which allows a spouse to use their own or the ex-spouse’s income to pay for children’s education, it causes issues to rise between the two families and causes them great stress. In addition, the rest of the family members have their issues to deal with, including Carol’s mother who has a secret about her marriage, Todd’s uncle (Carol’s father) who is on his way to being forced into retirement, and Christina (Todd and Carol’s daughter) trying to decide whether she wants to be in a relationship with her boyfriend or not.
