Back in 2019, Todd Phillips introduced a different version of Batman’s most popular enemy, the Joker, in the psychological thriller simply titled Joker to the audience. Instead of seeing the Clown Prince of Crime going after his long-time enemy, Joker followed a failed clown and stand-up comic called Arthur Fleck, who goes down into mental illness and ends up triggering a violent revolution against the rich in a decaying Gotham City.

“The Joker” Movie Plot summary:
Arthur Fleck is an eager stand-up comic who suffers from many mental illnesses, including one also which causes him to laugh uncontrollably when he is nervous and often gets him into bad situations. his mental health causes all people in society to reject him and look down upon him, though all he wants is to be accepted by others. After being brutally beaten, and having his medication cut off, Arthur’s life begins to spiral downward out of control into delusions, violence, and anarchy until he eventually transforms into Gotham’s infamous Clown-Prince of Crime. Arthur Fleck aspires to be a standup comedian in his small job working dressed as a clown holding a sign for advertising. But the conditions he faced from his mental Disorders ruined his life and made him Clown-Prince of Crime. The movie has a feel of a thriller, violence, and the criminal mastermind character known as the Joker. At the end of the movie, Arthur is locked up in Arkham Asylum. He meets a new social worker (April Grace) and says that he wants to tell her a joke, but she would not get it. But a few minutes later, Arthur steps out of the room and leaves a trail of bloody footprints behind before he is chased.
