Netflix just announced plans to make a Live Action Movie on BioShock associated with Vertigo Entertainment. A Popular game was released in 2007 after that many parts were released.

Storyline :-
In the year 1959, in a remote area of the Atlantic Ocean called Rapture, scientists began to explore ways of creating Utopia by combining man’s greatest gift with scientific progress at an alarming rate. A technologically advanced society flourished at the bottom of the ocean, with no laws and moral code and little in the way of oversight.
However, the dream quickly turned into a nightmare when scientists discovered how to splice genes from one species into another. This caused unsightly and difficult-to-control mutations in the human population. This angered Ryan and changed the future of Rapture forever.
Andrew Ryan created an underwater city for scientists, artists and industrialists where they could work together without any government interference, regulations or morals. The once peaceful underwater utopia became a dark dystopia as strange genetic mutations began to appear in the city’s population.

Despite this, the storyline for the game is relatively simple and linear, so a movie version could be difficult to produce. However, Vertigo Entertainment seems to have found a way to make this work.

It will be produced by Universal Pictures and will be distributed by 20th Century Fox. The Director is Francis Lawrence (Hunger Games , I Am Legend) and the Script Adapted by Michael Green. The actors are to be announced at a later date.
To create a movie with this sort of storyline, it needs to be made in such a way that it can appeal to both the general public as well as fans of the games. This is going to be challenging as the gameplay in the original game involved a lot of shooting, which could turn away non-gamers. However, if this is done correctly, then this movie could have great potential and could potentially be a box office success.
