Batman Beyond movie is canceled at Dc Studios. Michael Keaton reportedly had this another superhero movie which is canceled by DCs. After a rumor from Jeff Sneider on The Hot Mic Podcast about Batman movie was scrapped (H/T ComicBook.com), Umberto Gonzalez followed up and revealed that it was envisioned to be a Batman Beyond movie written by Christina Hodson. The original Batman Beyond animated series, which ran from 1999 to 2001, saw an elder Wayne which was voiced by Kevin Conroy, take Terry McGinnis (Will Friedle) under his wing to help battle a new generation of villains in a futuristic Gotham.

In Batman Beyond, Reports show that Hodson’s Batman Beyond movie was “looking to bring back romance between a Michael Keaton Batman and Catwoman.” At this time, however, it’s unclear if they had any plans for Michelle Pfeiffer to reprise her role as Selina Kyle. Michael Keaton would return as an older Bruce Wayne to mentor the younger Dark Knight with the screenplay coming from Christina Hodson.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker novelization of the feature film, written by Michael Teitelbaum, was released on 1 November 2000.
