The last kingdom is the adaptation of The Saxon Stories penned by Bernard Cornwell. The series is the joint venture of BBC America and Netflix, where the former has produced and later is the co-producer of the series. The series is towing the lines of two books with the title “Death of Kings” and “ The Pagan Lord.” Till the end of the third season, the storyline has followed the Death of Kings, and this season onward, the series will be following the other book. Uhtred’s return to bebbanburg seems inevitable this season, and there is going to be a fierce battle to fight both outside and inside. So things are going to go the way it has been described, but ultimately it’s not the destination rather the journey which matters at the end of the day.
