“Avengers: Kang Dynasty”: Marvel Studios’ upcoming film may be the most surprising to date.

It’s been a long time since Marvel Studios released a movie that even remotely surprised us. Sure, we could begrudgingly accept at-least-kinda-serious twists like the death of Agent Coulson in “Marvel’s The Avengers,” or the way Steve Rogers bails on his old friends and family in “Captain America: Civil War.” And yet, Avengers: Kang Dynasty may be the most unpredictable movie ever.

It could be because it has nothing to do with the character who has been at the center of so many Marvel films over the last decade: Doctor Strange was almost left for dead in “Doctor Strange” and his introduction in “Captain America: Civil War” was a total underwhelming afterthought (something we said hurt his film’s box office chances) but now he’s showing up in two of Marvel’s biggest films of all time, both in a major way.

“Avengers: Kang Dynasty” Release Date:

The Kang Dynasty and The Secret Wars will both have theatrical releases in 2025, according to a confirmation from Marvel. The Kang Dynasty will hit theaters on May 2, 2025, while The Secret Wars will follow six months later on November 7, 2025.

“Avengers: Kang Dynasty” cast:

The two-part epic is a plot that centers on the Multiverse and its Variants, thus there is no telling who might appear. Thanks to the tricks of alternate timelines, even dead characters are not completely off the table. Who, though, has the greatest chance of returning for The Kang Dynasty?

  • Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror
  • Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson’s Captain America
  • Brie Larson as Captain Marvel
  • Simu Liu as Shang-Chi
  • Letitia Wright as Shuri
  • Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange
  • Charlize Theron as Clea
  • Benedict Wong as Wong
  • Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez
  • Tom Hiddleston as Loki
  • Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie
  • Chris Hemsworth as Thor
  • India Hemsworth as Love
  • Paul Rudd as Ant-Man
  • Evangeline Lilly as Wasp
  • Tom Holland as Spider-Man
  • Mark Ruffalo as Hulk
  • Sebastian Stan as Bucky
  • Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel
  • Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang
  • Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk
  • The Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Jeffrey Wright as The Watcher

There are also a lot of characters, including the majority of the street-level heroes, that just don’t belong in a cosmic event of this kind. What, after all, could someone like Echo possibly provide in the struggle against Kang the Conqueror?

About “Avengers: Kang Dynasty”:

Avengers: Kang Dynasty is a film directed by Joss Whedon and written by Joss Whedon. It is the next Phase III installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it will be released on May 2, 2025. It is expected to be the final installment of Phase III, as well as the last film in the MCU’s current iteration.

It is a direct sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, which was released in 2025. The film will star Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Brie Larson, and Chris Pratt reprising their roles from Infinity War. The story follows Captain America’s search for his old friend Kang the Conqueror and his crusade against Kang and his allies.

“Avengers: Kang Dynasty’s” Plot Summary:

Marvel Studios’ upcoming film may be the most surprising to date: Kang Dynasty revolves around a plot device that is so mind-bogglingly complicated that it poses a challenge for Marvel to pull off right. The film takes place in what’s known as “the Convergence” – a mysterious event where timelines merge and diverge, creating multiple possible futures for people who have lived their lives. It’s an insane combination of time travel, multiverse theory, and a very intricate plot.

There is, however, one main character who will be the center of it all: Captain America, who will have something to do with the Convergence and Kang Dynasty’s plot – which will also somehow involve his old friend, Kang the Conqueror. It all seems like a far-fetched idea for a movie to follow through on – but this is Marvel we’re talking about.

“Avengers: Kang Dynasty” Spoiler alert:

The Kang Dynasty’s first new Avengers movie events have already started. When Kang made an appearance in Loki’s first season, the villain revealed that he had discovered a way to travel through the multiverse, which meant that there were numerous Kangs. However, something unexpected happened — no spoilers — and only the evil Kang is left.
