Avatar 2 Is More Than a Movie – Here’s What It Means to You

A sequel to the 2009 blockbuster Avatar is set to release in 2020, and while many people are excited about it, others wonder what this new movie could mean for their personal life. Here’s what you need to know.

The first Avatar was released way back in 2009, so a lot of us have been anticipating its sequel for years now. There’s no doubt that we’re all very excited for the second installment of James Cameron’s sci-fi epic when it comes out next year – but what does this mean for our own lives?

What can we expect from Avatar 2?

This is where we’ll talk about what the Avatar sequels mean for you, and how they might affect your personal life. We’re going to cover some of the more pressing questions people have been asking themselves over this news – like whether or not it will make us live in a virtual world; if our digital lives are too distracting from real-world relationships; and whether or not there’s any chance that all of this could lead to a new form of spiritual enlightenment? Let’s take a look at what these movies can tell us about ourselves!

We’re not just making sequels, we’re building new worlds.”We’re not just making sequels,” Cameron told reporters at this year’s CinemaCon, “we’re building new worlds.” The first sequel will be Dark Angel, coming out in 2020. But the Avatar franchise is about so much more than a single movie. You might love Pandora so much that you want to do it justice as an ambassador like Neytiri (Zoe Saldana)

Premiere:

A sequel to the 2009 blockbuster Avatar is set to release in 2020, and while many people are excited about it, others wonder what this new movie could mean for their personal life. Here’s what Avatar-related news could mean for you and your family.

How will these movies affect my life?

The release of Avatar sequels may change the world in some ways, like introducing us to new forms of technology or innovation inspired by it – but what does this have to do with our personal lives? Will we be living more virtually than physically from now on? What about relationships: are they a thing of the past if we’re always glued to our devices? How can I bring meaning into my virtual reality experience that doesn’t exist anywhere else, something spiritual enlightenment through avatars themselves?”

What is avatar therapy?

In 2002, psychologist Dr. Margaret Atwood coined the term “avatar therapy” during her doctoral research on the therapeutic benefits of computer-mediated therapy. In Avatar Therapy, patients are assigned an avatar to represent their current mental state and can choose a setting in which they would like to explore this avatar – for example, if a patient is feeling depressed or anxious during therapy sessions, he or she may want to visit an upbeat environment composed of happy people rather than face his/her depression head-on.”

A story about avatar 2:

The first sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time is set decades later and follows Jake Scully (Sam Worthington), a paralyzed war veteran who takes on his twin brother’s avatar – that of a Navi – to find him.

“We’re not just making sequels,” Cameron told reporters at this year’s CinemaCon, “we’re building new worlds.” The director hopes Avatar will serve as a platform for other filmmakers, with 20th Century Fox already planning four more films based around the world he created. In 2020 we’ll see three live-action movies: one centered on underwater creatures called mermaids; another about polar bears; and finally, Dark Angel, which focuses on Pandora’s indigenous people.

In addition to the live-action movies, 20th Century Fox has announced that there will be four animated films in production: Lottie’s New Adventure; Avatar Christmas Carol; and two yet unnamed projects set on other worlds in Pandora’s vast ecosystem.

All of these sequels are scheduled to come out over a six-year period starting 2020 with the release of Dark Angel. And already some actors have been cast with Sigourney Weaver and Cliff Curtis signed on for roles opposite Worthington. We’re not just making sequels, we’re building new worlds. “We’re not just making sequels,” Cameron told reporters at this year’s CinemaCon, “we’re building new worlds.”
