One Punch Man Season 3: Release date and Plot Details! Why is the anime delaying Season 3?

The One Punch Man anime is one of the most popular series in recent memory. It has a huge following, with plenty of people eagerly awaiting Season 3. However, there are some concerns about the delay and whether or not it will be worth it in the end. We have been keeping up with all of the news and rumours for One Punch Man Season 3 and we will tell you what’s going on!

Setbacks:

Despite the popularity of One Punch Man, Season three has been hampered with a number of setbacks. The first setback was when it did not get an airing date in Japan (a move which is usually regarded as bad luck). This led to rumours that there were problems during production and that perhaps One Punch Man’s creator had passed away or something similar. However, this rumour does not appear to be true because we have seen him since then.

Comparison with other Animes:

What about delays on other anime? A lot of people point out that One Piece season 18 took four years between seasons 17 and 19 but I don’t think they are relevant comparisons for many reasons including: -One Punch Man is much more popular than One Piece-Length; OPM lasts 12 episodes, One Piece has 600 episodes-The production team is different; One Punch Man’s staff consists of only ten people, and One Piece’s crew numbers in the hundreds

In any case, it seems that one way or another we will be getting season three eventually. The general consensus among fans appears to be that an announcement about when this may happen should come by July 2019 at the latest so I am hopeful for a release date soon!

Latest Updates:

The release date for One Punch Man Season three is currently unknown. However, the anime has announced that they will be releasing it at some point in 2020. There are many reasons why this could come about but my personal opinion is that there might not have been enough time to write and animate a new season before April 27th of 2019 due to other projects coming up. The production team behind the show wanted to make sure their other work was well underway first so as not to hold themselves back or cause any unnecessary delays which would later push the release date further into 2021 (which I think we all know by now). That being said, since a specific timeline hasn’t been set yet-the trailer says “coming soon” instead of putting an exact date-we can only hope One Punch Man Season Three releases sometime in 2020!

Plotline:

One-Punch Man has always been renowned for its unique storytelling style and high-quality animation. Which we have come to expect from this iconic series. When it was announced that season two would be delayed indefinitely until 2020; many were sceptical of where One Piece manga creator Hiroaki Karatsu might be taking the show next. But why so long? In order to understand more about what may have caused this delay in production; I read several interviews of members of the production team. At Bones Incorporated who went on record as saying; they had originally planned a release date before April 27th 2019; with an idea to follow up with a second season in 2020.

One Punch Man Season One left us on an intense cliffhanger; after the explosion of General Tree’s headquarters. With Tatsumaki and Genos needing to escape from the bomb which has now been activated by Dr Genus! This is one more reason why we are so excited for what future episodes will bring-a definite must-watch series.
