37 years after the release of Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal (out on Netflix on January 1, 2020), Thra has made a spectacular comeback to the world. The Jim Henson Company has one of the most breathtaking origins to date, expanding on the beautiful world created by The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

With a stunning cast of voice actors and puppets, Netflix actually left itself behind with the series launched on Netflix on August 30, 2019.

With incredible puppets and actors, much of the credit for the series’ success can go to co-producers, Jeffrey Addis and Will Matthews. The writing team also worked to weave the narrative by penetrating the hearts of many clients. Javier Grillo-Marxuch of Lost and Charmed served as one of the primary authors of the series and his influence can certainly be felt. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance was in development for an incredible amount of time, and if it wasn’t for your dedication and hard work, Thara’s world might not be as it is today.

We were very surprised that The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance was not a limited series. But at the end of the first season, it is clear that there is enough history to cover the subsequent season.

Nearly six months later (in December 2019), news about a second season has calmed down. The series co-producer Jeffrey Addis said, “We also have a specific document for the second season. So we are ready to go. “And the other co-producer, Will Matthews, said:” If we’re lucky to have more seasons, the story will continue and we know where it’s going and maybe that’s more expected than you think. ”

Although Netflix has improved publishing audience data, no data has been released yet.

We are still optimistic that it will have its second season and since most of the series is already loaded with costumes, puppets and sets that are already produced, a second season should be much cheaper. However, it would be an expensive series with 2,500 doing the same number in the first and perhaps even the second season.
